St George’s is the Anglican parish church for Wash Common & part of the South Newbury Benefice with St John’s; it’s a thriving church, growing in number and with a breadth of ages represented amongst the congregation.
St George’s Church & Centre is also the lively hub and home for a wide range of community groups & activities.

St George’s has recently been completely re-vamped, with a new ceiling, new floor, draught-proofing and a carbon neutral heating system, future-proofed for generations to come. We also have a beautiful new meeting room in the north transept. The church is a light, bright, warm and welcoming space which lends itself to a host of community events.
