St George’s remains active in praying for all

Coronavirus (COVID-19) latest guidance as at 23 March

Following the Government announcement on 23 March, St George’s church must now be closed to all visitors until further notice.

The vicar will come and pray in church each day for our community, our nation, and for the world at this difficult time.

 If you have a prayer request or would like a candle lit for a loved one, please phone 01635 524994 or 01635 45380.

Renewable Energy Project (REP) Update!

The Final Phase was launched on St George’s Day, with a fundraising appeal to the congregation. External fundraising has been well underway for some time, and the Project Management Group are busy working through the details of the scheme.

REP Final Phase – We’ve Come To A Decision!

In line with the close to unanimous consensus of opinion across the Church community St George’s PCC voted unanimously for the third heating option of Ground Source Heat Pump with under floor heating for our REP Final Phase. The Project Management Group and our Funding Manager now have the mandate to progress with technical work and the sourcing of external funding. The journey towards a warm, welcoming, carbon neutral church continues… Thank you.
