Join us for a collective community event organised by Revd Terry Winrow of St George’s Church, Newbury, Waheeda Soomro of All2gether, and Kamal Bahia of Newbury & District Clinical Commissioning Group.

We are proud to present a collaborative community event “Equity of Voice”, a creative mix of music, dance and drama across the cultures to entertain and inform on an issue we all share in our common humanity. The purpose is to raise community awareness and change our perception and attitudes to those living with dementia.

‘Equity of Voice’ will take place on Wednesday 20th May from 19:00-20:30 at St George’s Church, Andover Road, Newbury RG14 6NU.

This event aims to bring together all communities and cultures to acknowledge that dementia can affect us all, no matter our background, faith or culture – we are a community and we need to work together to raise awareness to support one another and become more Dementia Friendly. This is an exciting initiative blending together both entertainment and positive information to make it a unique experience. Some of the highlights to look forward to include Harmony Choir, multi-cultural readings and presentations, St. George Musicians and New Era Players; all reinforcing the key messages to change how we view Dementia. The event is open to all with free entrance and light refreshments. For media enquiries please contact: terry.winrow@st-george-newbury.org.uk EoV
