St George’s has recently been completely re-vamped, with a new ceiling, new floor, draught-proofing and a carbon neutral heating system, future-proofed for generations to come. We also have a beautiful new meeting room in the north transept. The church is a light, bright, warm and welcoming space which lends itself to a host of community events. If you are looking for a venue for your community group, look no further than St George’s!
The church seats up to 300 and is ideal for concerts, rehearsals, seminars, exhibitions or as a meeting venue. The glazed transept room can accommodate up to 30 and is perfect for smaller groups and meetings.
We would love to see the church full, and in regular use by community groups. Our charging policy is flexible, discretionary and based upon means. If you are interested in hiring St George’s for an event or group meeting, do get in touch to talk about the possibilities.
