Greenham – Revds David McLeod, Brian Jones, John Bramhall

“When God calls” – A series of Bible Studies on Mondays, 21st, 28th January, and 4th, 11th February at 9, Ladwell Close at 19.30.  Please contact the Church office if you are interested.

Long Term Healing List in the Church – This will be reviewed on Monday, 28th January.  If you have put a name on the list, and wish it to remain there, then please place a tick beside it.  Names that are not ticked will be removed.  Many thanks.

Electoral Roll (ER) rewrite – Every Church in the country has an Electoral Roll (rather like the Council’s Electoral Roll, which allows you to vote in elections, amongst other things).  The Church’s Electoral Roll has to be drawn up from scratch every six years, which happens to be this year.  To be on the ER you need to be over the age of 16 and have been baptised.  Being on the ER allows you to vote at APCMs and be elected to the PCC.  There will be application forms at the back of the Church for the next few weeks, and I will have them at coffee after the 09.30 service, from this Sunday onwards.  The ER is required to be displayed in Church for two weeks prior to the APCM in April, (no personal details will be shown) and so forms need to returned to me by Friday 15th March.  If you have any questions, then please do speak to me, Margaret Blaine, Electoral Roll Officer.

Additional Contact Details – Telephone number and e-mail address will also be asked for, only for use by the Church Office, and not published.  We need your permission to hold this information. Any questions, then please speak to me, Revd Becky.

Christian Aid Flag Day – Are you free for an hour on Saturday, 26th January, to collect at either of the Tesco stores – Pinchington Lane or Northbrook Street?   If so, please contact Louise via the office.

Bethany Lunch, Sunday, 27th January, 12.30 to 14.00, in the home of Margaret and Bruce Blaine.  Please come for a simple lunch in return for a donation to Jeel Al Amal Boys Home and Co-ed School in Bethany.  Everyone is welcome to this informal and friendly lunch with a purpose.

Christian Aid Barn Dance – Saturday, 2nd February 19.00 for 19.30 start, at St Georges’ Hall.  This is the annual fund raising Barn Dance with a supper included.  There will also be a licensed bar.  Ticket prices are £12 for adults and £6 for children and can be obtained by telephoning David Oats via the church office.

World Day of Prayer, Friday, 1st March at 10.30 in St John’s Church.  A Service for Everyone.  Praying for Slovenia.

West Berkshire Homeless – Volunteers needed – Thank you to those who have already volunteered to help with the extended winter provision at Two Saints.   If you can help in any way, then please, either telephone 07727 277780 or e-mail wbhomeless@outlook.com for more details.

Thank you for your amazing support to West Berks Foodbank during November and December.  The response to our version of a Reverse Advent Calendar in November was overwhelming, and we are truly grateful for your generosity in helping us to feed an increasing number of people.  In December we also received large amounts from schools, community groups and businesses and also via the supermarket permanent collection points.  This has put us in a good stock position for the next couple of months.  Many thanks, Eugene.

COINS (Christian Outreach In Newbury Schools) have an exciting job opportunity for a new Team Leader, starting end April 2019.  Please see note on board in the Annexe.

Volunteers Needed for YMCA youth work at the Riverside Centre on Friday evenings.  For more details, see the notice in the lobby by the office.
