Have you thought of joining a group to nurture your faith, or to support others on their journey?
There is plenty going on at St. George’s, so do have a look at the groups listed below and get in touch if you are tempted to try one – we would love to hear from you, call the church office or more info or email firstname.lastname@example.org
‘Open’ is the key word! There is no need to stay in one group if you do not wish….just dip in and out to any group when you want…but you may get hooked!
Monday evening; meet at 8pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, starting 12th Sept. at the home of Sandra & Dennis Goodyear. Wide ranging discussions; currently using ‘Travelling Well’ by Steven Croft (the new Bishop of Oxford)…..with a twist! Occasional socials.
Wednesday morning; meet at 10.30am in Large Meeting Room on the 2nd Wednesday of the month starting 14th Sept. Currently looking at the OT book of Esther.
Wednesday morning; meet on 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at the home of Helen Tuck, starting 21st Sept. Considering topical issues starting with ‘Celtic Christianity’.
Monday Housegroup; meets at the home of Jim & Sue Goodwin. Doing 5 week course on ‘The Kingdom of Heaven’, starting 5th Sept.
This group has been going for one year post Alpha with new members joining during that time. It meets once per month at the home of Kathy & Terry Winrow, starting again on 29th Sept. We use the Church of England Pilgrim material. There is regular wine and chocs – and oh, the occasional meal out.
Maybe you would like to lead or help to lead a group in the future but are worried about dipping in your toe!
How about joining us for 3 confidence building sessions on 27th Sept (in church) and 4th and 18th October at 8pm, (in the Large Meeting Room)
If you are interested, please speak to Kathy Winrow or Clive Grant.
