Love and Light at Christingle

For any who missed Christingle this year, or any who want to spot themselves in the photos, here are a few snaps from our Christingle service held last Sunday, 10th December.
Christingle is a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas and at St George’s over 100 people gathered to light Christingle candles, to sing carols and to pray for the world… and to eat the sweets off the sticks 😉  Each year Christingle services are held around all around the UK, and together they raise much needed funds for the work of the Children’s Society, a charity that works to make sure that no child is alone at Christmas.  Thank you for your support.

We are on the cusp of an epic moment. The Advent season of preparing, waiting, yearning, thirsting, hoping, is very nearly over. We’re here because it’s just not good enough to wake up tomorrow morning and dozily realise that, realise what??? I’ll answer that in a minute.
This moment is rather like a stumbling through the darkness of night down onto a beach. Sitting there in the gloom before …
