Strings, strawberries and song at St George’s church.
Back by popular demand, this will be the eighth of these popular summer afternoon concerts, with Pimms and strawberries served during the interval. The Harmony choir, violinist Helen Page, together with guest artistes present a programme of well-loved music, both light and classical, with a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ finale.
Where else could you find Pimms, strawberries and entertainment for only £8?

Now in its fifth year, and always a fantastically festive evening of music and mulled wine – St George’s Church hosts Wash Common’s Candlelit Christmas Concert for 2017 – 7pm on Sunday 10th December!
Featuring violinist Helen Page, Soloist Katie Minien, Harmony Choir, St George’s Choir.
With readings by members of the community and Christmas carols for the audience.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served at the interval.
Tickets are £5 (under 16s free) and available from the church office.
Proceeds from this event will go to the West Berks Winter Homeless Project.

Do come and hear our newly refurbished organ at its inaugural recital on Saturday 11th March at 4pm.
Clive Grant will play music by JS Bach, Antonio Soler, Olivier Messiaen, William Walton, Jean Alain and Henri Mulet.
Entry is free.
Thanks to an anonymous and very generous friend of St George’s, the church organ has undergone a comprehensive overhaul and expansion in the last two years.
Walker & Son Organ Builders, who built the original organ, were commissioned for the re-build. The original instrument was an ‘extension’ organ, popular in the 1950’s, being both economical on the coffers and in terms of space.
