Pimms and Proms at the Summer Serenade!

Coffee Morning for Cancer Research UK

Members of St George’s are teaming up with St Francis De Sales to hold a charity coffee morning on Friday 8 July at St Francis Hall.  Do come along between 10am and 12 noon and enjoy freshly brewed coffee, choice of tea and home made cakes.  Mel Brown will have her fab craft and gift stall too.

There’ll be a raffle with a chance to win a bottle of champagne, luxury fruit basket, Sports Centre passes, beauty treatment and many more prizes….

It’s all for a very good cause – Cancer Research UK.   Do join us!

Street Party & Barn Dance Photos

If you missed the festivities over the Queen’s birthday weekend, or enjoyed it so much you’d like to see it again, here are a few photos of the street party in the afternoon and the evening barn dance.  To view the St George’s Morris Dancers giving it their best hanky flourish, click the link below (currently going viral on youtube thanks to Mr Brown!)  A huge ‘THANK YOU’ to the organisers and participants for a very memorable day.

Quiz January 16th  January  2015

Start 2016 with St George’s ever popular themed quiz with supper to get the brain cells working. Doors will open at 7.15pm and supper will be served during the evening; there will also be a cash bar.  Bring your friends along to make up a team of 8 or we can make up a team for you.

Saturday 1st November 2014, St George’s Hall.

Let yourself be transported for the evening to a fiesta of entertainment from the South American continent.

Burns Supper – Nearly Sold Out!

A Burns Supper will be held on Saturday, 8 February in St George’s Hall. The night will include a traditional Scottish meal, a Scottish piper, a malt whisky tasting, Scottish songs from St George’s choir, and some Highland reels.
