For any who missed them… The Notices

If you didn’t see a blue sheet, please cast your eye over the all important notices for the week…

Tiddlers and Toddlers need you.  Could you help with setting up equipment and toys between 13.00 and 13.30 and putting them away from 14.30 to 15.00, on Mondays in Term Time? Caroline and Helena would be grateful for any help.  .

St George’s Men’s Group Meeting on Monday, 21st May at ‘The Bowler’s Arms,’ 20.00 for 20.30.  John Huckle will give a talk on his volunteer work with West Berkshire Homeless entitled, ‘At Home with the Homeless.’  All gentlemen of the congregation and their friends are most welcome to attend this meeting.

BusyKids are having a cake sale on Thursday, 24th May to raise money for the MS Society and Newbury MS Society.  It will be after school at the back of BusyKids, just off the infant playground.  If anyone would like to donate cakes, either homemade or shop bought, then please can you deliver them to BusyKids on Wednesday, 23rd May between 15.00 and 18.00.  Thank you for your support.

St. John’s Plant Sale and Spring Fair on Saturday, 26th May from 10.30 – 14.00.  A very good selection of vegetable and flower plants.  Also tombola and cake stalls, raffle and refreshments.

All are warmly invited to attend the consecration of St Francis De Sales Church by Bishop Philip Egan, RC Bishop of Portsmouth on Thursday, 31st May at 19.00 and to a reception in the hall afterwards.  RSVP by 17th May to washcommon@portsmouthdiocese.org.uk

HOLIDAY CLUB (23rd – 27TH JULY) Please let Kathy Winrow know if you would like to help in any capacity.  There will be a core team meeting for group leaders on Saturday, 26th May at 10.00 a.m. at Pineridge.

Can you help?  We need to someone who is prepared to take over the washing of the small Church linen, i.e: the towels and purificators used during communion services. If you would like to know more, then please speak to Elisabeth Pook.  Thank you.
